Jazz Lab Band Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present its Jazz Lab Band Concert on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington). The concert is free and open to the public. 

The Jazz Lab Band will be conducted by Visiting Assistant Professor of the School of Music Tim Pitchford. The performances will include:

- Moten Swing by Bennie Moten 

- Jacob Passini, orchestral instruments major from Bloomington, Ill., graduationyear 2013, on guitar

- Lil’ Darlin by Neal Hefti

- Ethan Fischer, major to-be-determined from Quincy, Ill., graduation year 2015,
on piano

- Conspiracy Theory by Mike Tomaro

- Samantha Stevens, music education major from Des Plaines, Ill., graduation
year 2016, on trombone

- J.J. Novak, music education major from Park Ridge, Ill., graduation year 2016,
on saxophone

- Mike Kelly, major to-be-determined from Oak Forest, Ill., graduation year 2016, on drums

- Summertime by George and Ira Gershwin

- Vocalist Abby Lyons, music major from Oak Park, Ill., graduation year 2014

- Deed I Do by Fred Rose and Walter Hirsch 

- Vocalist Ainsley Klug, voice major from Glen Ellyn, Ill., graduation year 2015

- I’ve Got You under My Skin by Cole Porter

- Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Bob Mangialardi, vocals

- Samba Dubios by Phil Woods

- Novak on saxophone

- My Funny Valentine by Rodgers and Hart

- Nat Murphy, chemistry major from Bloomington, graduation year 2013
