Tickets will be available for purchase Thursday, March 1. General admission and senior ticket prices are $3. Student tickets are $2 with proof of a valid school ID.
De Angelis’s feminist commentary explores the realities of the first female actresses allowed to grace the English stage in seventeenth century Britain. The story tells of these five Restoration era actresses, including the famed Nell Gwyn, and is one of lust, labor, luck, laughter and loss. Audiences are invited to witness these women’s newfound freedom in the practice of their craft, and to judge for themselves whether the freedom to sell their art by selling themselves constitutes freedom at all.
Due to adult language and subject matter, this performance is recommended for mature audiences.
