BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – On Friday, Nov. 18, the Illinois Wesleyan Symphonic Winds will give a concert. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 Park St., Bloomington).
Directed by Assistant Professor of Music Roger Garrett, the ensemble will perform works by Frank Ticheli, Ronald Lo Presti, George Gershwin, Ralph Vaughan Williams, David R. Holsinger and Henry Fillmore.
Comprised of students of all majors, the Symphonic Winds is one of two wind ensembles that perform in concert at Illinois Wesleyan University. The group performs three to four concerts a year, often sharing a concert with the Wind Ensemble and occasionally performing off-campus in the Bloomington-Normal area.
