BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University Choir and Symphonic Winds will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11 in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington). The concert is open to the public.
The performance will be split into two parts, with the University Choir performing first. Works will include, Kyrie from Petite Messe Solennelle by G. Rossini, Psalms by L. Foss and Great Day arranged by M. Hogan.
The performances will highlight the musical talents of pianist Susan Klotzbach and Gretchen Church and students Lucas Fletcher ’14, harmonist, Kathryn Stiefel ’13 and Hayley Koch ’14, sopranos and Alberto Mantovano ’14, tenor.
After the intermission, the Symphonic Winds will perform Prelude, Siciliano, and Rondo by Malcolm Arnold, Lux Aurumque by Eric Whitacre, A Longford Legend by Robert Sheldon, Chorale and Shaker Dance by John Zdechlik and Galop by Dmitri Shostakovich.
