Evelyn Chapel to Host Conversations, Worship Services

August 25, 2010

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University students will have two opportunities a week to worship and gather together. Each week, “Conversations” will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m., beginning with the President's Convocation on Sept. 8, and Sunday evening worship will be available at 6 p.m. in Evelyn Chapel (1301 N. Park St., Bloomington).

“Conversations” will focus on learning from and sharing with one another the experiences from both personal and professional journeys. These Interfaith gatherings will consider how one’s faith guides his or her life and relate the two to the environment during the month of September.

The fall 2010 theme for the Sunday evening services is “Relationships: It’s Complicated.” The service this Sunday, Aug. 29, will examine people’s relationship with the created world. The Chapel Choir and Katie Bregman, a first-year student from Evanston, Ill., will provide music for the evening. Fellowship and food will follow Sunday evening services.
