BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University senior Kyle Niewald, a business administration major from St. Louis, has been named the University’s Outstanding Marketing Student by the central Illinois chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA).
A graduate of Lutheran High School North, Niewald was nominated for this award because of his accomplishments as Vice President for Programming of the IWU chapter of AMA, founded in 1988. Niewald scheduled five alumni speakers last semester who addressed the question of careers after college and arranged for six speakers this semester.
Niewald also serves as social chair and new member director for the social fraternity, Sigma Pi, and he is an Eagle Scout.
