IWU Offers Fall String and Chamber Music Programs

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The String Preparatory Department at Illinois Wesleyan University is currently enrolling students for private lessons on violin, viola, cello and bass. Fall semester lessons begin on August 24.

The IWU String Prep Program offers weekly private lessons to students of all ages, chamber music, music theory classes and regular recitals. Registration information is available at www.iwu.edu/music/k12/prep.shtml.

Illinois Wesleyan will also offer a Chamber Music Program for junior high and high school musicians on strings, winds and piano. The program will run from Sept. through Dec., with the final concert taking place on Sunday, Dec. 13. Students will receive weekly coaching from IWU and String Preparatory Program faculty.
