BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present a concert featuring the Collegiate Choir and the Chamber Singers on Tuesday, April 7 at 8 p.m. at the Second Presbyterian Church (313 N. East St., Bloomington).
The program is free and open to the public.
The concert will begin with a number of small ensembles singing Renaissance works by William Byrd and Tomas Luis de Victoria.
Directed by Timothy Koch, visiting professor of choral music, the Chamber Singers will perform German composer Hugo Distler’s “Sing to the Lord a New Song.”
The Collegiate Choir, also directed by Koch, will present Italian composer Ildebrando Pizzetti’s Requiem.
