Illinois Wesleyan Choirs to Perform Christmas Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan choral ensembles will present the annual Christmas Choral Concert on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church (704 N. Main St., Bloomington).

General admission is $10, $5 for senior citizens and Illinois Wesleyan alumni and $2 for high school and college students. Admission is free for students eighth grade and under.

Under the director of J. Scott Ferguson, associate professor of voice and conducting, the Collegiate Choir, the University Choir and the Chamber Singers will perform selections by composers including Desenclos, Schoeder, Pinkham, Chesnokoff, Berger, La Cour, Smith, Bullard. The choirs will also perform traditional carols.

Joining the Illinois Wesleyan choirs will The Crone Middle School Honor Chorus from Naperville, Ill., conducted by IWU alumnus Nathan Bramdstedt, class of ‘00.
