BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Coming soon to a student center near you: Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwenyth Paltrow, and Terrence Howard. Illinois Wesleyan’s Titan Film Series will present Iron Man at the Hansen Student Center (300 E. Beecher St., Bloomington) at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday, August 30. The event is free and open to the public.
Downey Jr. plays billionaire industrialist and inventor Tony Stark, who is kidnapped and forced to build a highly destructive weapon. Forging intense work on the project, Stark instead creates a high-tech iron suit that transforms him into the Marvel comic hero Iron Man. Stepping into the suit of armor after escaping from his captors, Iron Man sets out to terminate an enemy plot to devastate the world.
