BLOOMINGTON, Ill. –Illinois Wesleyan University’s Office of Student Activities will bring the movie Batman Begins to campus on Friday, September 16 at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center (300 Beecher St., Bloomington).
The event is free and open to the public.
As a young boy, Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) witnessed the gruesome murder of his millionaire parents. Obsessed with revenge, he flees to Asia where he finds counsel in a ninja cult leader, Ra’s Al-Ghul (Ken Watanabe). When he finally returns to Gotham City, he finds it decaying under the rule of corruption and organized crime. After being swindled out of his inherited company, Wayne Industries, Bruce discovers a cave under his mansion, Wayne Manor. In his cave, with the help of his butler and an armored suit, Bruce becomes Batman, a masked crusader who seeks to guard the citizens of Gotham City and to restore justice.
