Nellie Dixon earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Performance from Northwestern University, studying with Robert Barris.  Her other teachers include Willard Elliot, Sydney Rosenberg, and Russ Bedford.  As a freelance musician, she has performed with the Indianapolis Symphony, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Suzuki and Friends and the Peoria Bach Festival among others. She and her husband have two children and are avid scuba divers.
