Scholarships and Financial Aid

Watch Video: Meet First-Year Student Christopher Crown, a self-taught trumpet player who now plays in Illinois Wesleyan ensembles and gets free lessons via the Jennings Music Scholarship.

Scholarships - Music Majors:

Renewable scholarships (ranging from $10,000-$20,000 per year) are awarded to candidates seeking admission and are based on auditions and academic backgrounds.  A limited number of $30,000-plus awards are available to musicians who demonstrate exceptional ability.  Because these awards are based on auditions, it is unnecessary to submit a separate scholarship application.

Scholarships - Non-Music Majors:

The Jennings Music Scholarship is designated specifically for non-music majors. Renewable $1,000 music awards are available through competitive auditions for students outside the School of Music. Winners receive free music lessons and are expected to perform in one of our music ensembles as determined by the appropriate music faculty. All Jennings Auditions must be completed by April 15. Find the prescreening form for the Jennings Scholarship here:
