April 29-30
Illinois Wesleyan earned a fifth-place finish at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin men’s tennis championships, held April 29-30 at Bloomington’s Evergreen Racquet Club and hosted by IWU. The Titans downed North Central, 7-0, to take fifth as Carthage repeated as team champion. In the fifth place match, IWU singles winners were Jason Love, Ryan Stitt, Pat Fischer, Mike O’Keefe, Dan Zurakov and Ryan Reimer. Love and O’Keefe teamed for a win at No. 1 doubles and Fischer and Stitt won at No. 2 doubles. The Titans finished with a 3-17 dual meet record.

April 5
For the first time this season, the Illinois Wesleyan men’s tennis team has a dual match victory as the Titans downed Monmouth, 6-1, at IWU's Beadles-Morse Courts on Tues., April 5. Jason Love defeated Monmouth's Jared Kunkle, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 1 singles and then teamed with Mike O'Keefe to defeat the pair of Kunkle and Matt Moser, 8-3, at No. 1 doubles. Love and O'Keefe are now 3-7 at No. 1 doubles. Pat Fischer improved to 3-8 at No. 3 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Moser and O'Keefe is 3-4 at No. 4 singles with his 6-0, 6-0 win over the Scots' Brian Jordan.
