Scott DeGraff, a 1999 Illinois Wesleyan University graduate, had a ringside seat for the Chicago Bears' appearance in Super Bowl XLI in Miami on Feb. 4, 2007 - he is in his second season as an assistant athletic trainer for the Bears.

A native of Fisher, Ill., DeGraff lettered twice as a football player at IWU. In 1997, he took over as the team's punter due to an injury (to Jim Callahan) and averaged 31.4 yards on 25 punts. He made two tackles in six games as a defensive back.

He also lettered twice at Illinois Wesleyan in track and ran a leg on the 4x200 relay team in 1998 that set a school indoor record (since broken).

As a high school senior in Fisher, he rushed for over 1,000 yards as a running back and was all-Sangamon Valley Conference.

DeGraff works for Tim Bream, who is in his 14th season as head trainer with the Bears.
