Ticket, Fan Bus Information for Championship Round

Tickets for the Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball games in the championship round of the NCAA Division III Tournament at Salem, Va., will be on sale beginning at 1 p.m. Tues., March 14, at the Shirk Center.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and include admission to both the Friday semifinal games and the Saturday third place and championship games. Children under 2 are admitted free.

Illinois Wesleyan (24-6) plays Virginia Wesleyan at 7 p.m. (CST) on Fri., March 17, following the first semifinal game between Amherst and Wittenberg. The third place game is at 1:30 p.m. (CST) on Sat., March 18, followed by the championship game.

Fan Bus Information

Illinois Wesleyan has reserved four fan buses for the trip to Salem, Va., and reservations may be made through Mary Bible at the IWU Alumni Office by phoning (309) 556-3093 or emailing her at mbible@iwu.edu.
The cost for transportation only is $110 for adults and $100 for students and that price includes all game tickets. For those traveling on the buses, IWU has also reserved blocks of rooms at hotels at costs ranging from $79 to $129 per night and those reservations may be made with Mary Bible, as well.
The buses will be departing Thursday (March 16) at midnight and returning on Sunday (March 19).

Team and Fan Celebration

There will be an Illinois Wesleyan team and fan celebration at the Wyndham Hotel in Salem, Va., on Sat., March 18, at the conclusion of the championship game.
Plans are also in the works for a campus celebration sometime during the week of March 27-31, following IWU's spring break, that would honor not only the IWU men's basketball team but the Titan women's track team's fourth place finish in the NCAA Division III national indoor meet March 10-11.
