Mark Evans Observatory

The Mark Evans Observatory, completed in 1970, houses a 16-inch Cassegrain telescope. Astronaut Frank Borman dedicated the observatory shortly after he commanded Apollo VIII, the first manned space flight to orbit the moon.

The University celebrated the observatory's 40th anniversary during 2010 Homecoming activities.
