Psychology is the science of behavior and mental processes. Those studying psychology can follow a variety of career paths, including graduate study in psychology, law school, medical school and preparation for careers in business, communications, government or not for profits.
The Psychology Department at Illinois Wesleyan University believes combining a strong psychology curriculum with a liberal arts foundation will prepare our students well for a wide range of careers. Our department emphasizes small class sizes to foster critical thinking, hands-on laboratory-based learning experiences and in-depth research opportunities in which undergraduate students can work closely with individual professors.
