Informatics Minor

Endless innovations involve harnessing information with computing technology — social networking, search engines, navigation systems, image processing, music technologies, online marketing, genetic research, drug design — with applications in diverse fields from finance to medicine.

A minor in informatics at Illinois Wesleyan allows students to apply computer science to their area of interest, providing a foundation in programming and data modeling, and additional courses focused on genetics, a central area of bioinformatics, or business information systems.
