Computers in the LibraryThe Ames Library provides over 100 computers for patron use. All computers contain productivity software, as well as library research tools to assist in the research process. |

 There are 50 computers located on the entry level in the Information Commons and the Instruction Lab. These can be used on a first-come, first-serve basis. |

The Project Rooms, on the entry level and in the Thorpe Center, have computers and large screen TV's, webcams, and DVD/VCR combo units.
These rooms may be reserved by contacting the Help@Ames Desk, (309) 556-3900.

There are 7 scholarly workstations groups throughout the library: one on the lower level and two each on floors 2, 3, and 4. Subject specific software is available on these computers.

|
The Thorpe Center located on the 3rd level has computers available for scanning and digital/audio editing.
|
|
|
There are stand-up workstations available in the rotundas for quick access to library resources, e-mail or the Internet.
