In the fall of 2005, the Ames Library acquired approximately 1300 books from the personal collection of the late Minor Myers, jr. (1942-2003), 17th President of Illinois Wesleyan University (1989-2003).

The library is in the process of cataloging this collection which will primarily be housed in Tate Archives & Special Collections on the library’s 4th floor. Patrons may search the library catalog for the collection as a whole or by some of the subject areas found within the collection such as Book Arts and Conduct of Life, both of which are active collecting areas in Special Collections.
