Get help the following ways:

  • In person: Visit the Information Desk (Entry Level) to work with library faculty during the following hours:
    • Monday-Thursday: 9:00-noon, 1:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm
    • Friday: 9:00-noon & 1:00-5:00 pm
    • Sunday: 7:00-9:00 pm

    Need a quick fact? Want to know if the library is open? Can't find a certain journal title? Next time text your question! Just sign up @ 66746 AskAmes. You will get a message back connecting you to Ames Library new texting service.
  • Chat with a librarian: IM your questions to IWU librarians.  Use the IM widget on the right!
  • Personal appointment: Each discipline has a librarian assigned to work with students.  Feel free to stop by during office hours or schedule an appointment to work one-on-one with a librarian.
  • By phone: Call the Information Desk (309-556-3350). If you are in the library, help-phones attached to the end panels of the Scholarly Workstations computers (located on each floor) connect directly to the Information Desk.
  • Via email: Ask questions by email (askames@iwu.edu).
