The Illinois Wesleyan
Graphic Identity Program
The Graphic Identity Program is designed to present a strong, consistent identity, which is crucial to the goal of extending the University’s name as a symbol of quality to all of our constituencies. The Graphic Identity Program will distinguish all University print, digital and product applications as clearly recognizable Illinois Wesleyan products.
There are two primary elements of the Graphic Identity Program:
• Window Wordmark – This logo combines a unique typographical treatment of the University's name with the Paladin windows that are recognizable around campus. This logo can be widely used for both internal and external communications, and is a less formal symbol than the University seal. Permission to use the window wordmark can be secured from the Director of PPMS.
• University Seal and Signature – The University seal is the formal identification of Illinois Wesleyan University and reinforces its academic tradition and quality. The seal/seal and signature can be used on publications and visual media that require a more formal and traditional academic symbol. It is also used exclusively on diplomas and academic certificates. Permission to use the seal/seal and signature can be secured from the Director of PPMS or the Vice President for Public Relations.
• Official Colors – Green (HEX #006633) is the official University color and with limited exceptions should be used in publications, the Web and other materials. If complimentary colors are desired any of the following are recommended: gray/silver (HEX #clc2c1), gold (HEX #c7a650), cream (HEX #f6eecf), white and black.
• Transforming Lives: The Campaign for Illinois Wesleyan University – These logos are to be used during the campaign period to create campaign awareness by the Advancement Office or in campaign-related projects approved by the Vice President for Advancement or Vice President for Public Relations.
Campaign letterhead is reserved for exclusive use by the campaign and its use must be approved by the VP for Advancement or VP for Public Relations.
Dual letterhead is encouraged for use by other offices to help build awareness for the campaign. The regular University letterhead continues to be available for use by any office.
