The English Department at Illinois Wesleyan University invites applications for the job of Assistant Professor to begin 2010-2011. This tenure-track position entails teaching six courses annually (3-3) in literature and general education, including first-year writing. Ph.D. in Literature (in hand by August 1, 2010) and primary expertise in Restoration/18th-century British; secondary expertise or experience teaching history of the language, interdisciplinary humanities, women’s studies, or film studies desirable. Preference given to candidates with teaching experience.
