9-month position
Requirements :
• Six to twelve months office experience and/or on-the-job training.
• Basic knowledge of office systems and procedures and/or specialized skills, typically acquired in up to one year of post-high school training in some specialized area that may lead to a certificate or diploma.
• Computer experience using work processing, spreadsheet, database software (Microsoft Word and Excel preferred).
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication/interaction skills, with sensitivity to office protocol in working with a diverse constituency.
Duties :
• Creates and/or updates prospective student data in the Admissions student information system.
• Runs database queries to generate letters for students and reports for admission counselors.
• Sends reminder emails and postcards for upcoming fairs, high school visits, or other admissions programs.
• Creates, mails and catalogues dictated letters created by the admissions staff.
• Trains and supervises a student worker performing data entry.
• Fills in for primary receptionist as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
