The Admissions Office at Illinois Wesleyan University seeks creative, energetic, and industrious candidates for the position of Admissions Counselor.

This full-time, 12-month position works on all aspects of undergraduate admissions, including market research, planning and implementation of student recruitment strategies, application review, and special projects.

The Admissions Counselor is responsible for a travel territory, with overnight and some weekend travel/responsibilities.  A bachelor’s degree is required; familiarity with computers and computer systems is a plus.

Exceptional candidates will have:

  • Outgoing personality
  • Strong public speaking ability
  • Demonstrated writing ability and organizational skills
  • Understanding of university structure
  • Desire to travel and work both independently and as a member of the admissions team
