Chi sono io?
I taught Italian at IWU for the first time in 2007, and since then I have taught courses in both Italian and Spanish.  My favorite thing about teaching at IWU is definitely the excellent students:  they keep me on my toes, and in turn make me a better teacher.

Courses Taught:  I have taught both Beginning Italian I and II (101 and 102), as well as Beginning Spanish I and II (101 and 102).

Why I love Italy:  The people are genuine, warm, and friendly, and the Italian language is beautiful.  It is so expressive:  what would the world be like without expressions like "Mamma mia!"?  Or words such as pasta, gelato, and caffè macchiato?  Or piano, rallentando, or allegro?

Favorite Italian Foods: gelato (nocciola and limone), caffè (espresso, espresso con panna, cappuccino, macchiato), and all types of pasta!

Favorite Italian Films:  Il Postino, Ciao Professore!, La Vita è bella.

Favorite Italian Music:  Andrea Bocelli, Domenico Modugno.

Experiences in Italy:  I have spent a great amount of time living in and exploring Italy.  Although I have spent more time in Sicily, I also regularly visit Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Capri, and Pompeii.  Recently I had the opportunity to visit the Veneto region, and I am always making plans for my next trip to Italy!
