Intramural Volleyball Rules

         

1. There shall be 6 players on the court at a time.  3 men and 3 women for co-ed play.  A minimum of 4 players (2 and 2) is required to begin play.  No more than 3 members of same gender can be on floor (unless agreement between two teams).

2. Men must substitute for men, women substitute for women.

3. No more than 2 volleyball team/club members on a court for a team at one time (unless agreement between two teams pre-match).

4. A match will consist of best of three games.  Switch sides after each game.

5. If the ball hits the ceiling or any other object within the boundary lines and goes over the net, it is considered a side-out. If the ball hits and lands on the same side the team can continue to play the ball as long as they haven’t already used their three hits.

6. Subs may enter the game on dead balls.

7. No touching the net while ball is in play.
