What is Habitat?
We are a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. We build with people in need regardless of race or religion. We welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds.
We work with future homeowners to build houses from the ground up. This year, our chapter is building two gold-standard LEED certified houses. The first of their kind in McLean County, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) homes will offer various energy savings.
