The College Panhellenic Council, commonly referred to as Panhellenic, Panhel or CPC, is the local governing body of the inter/national women's fraternities and sororities. The CPC is affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), a national organization that strives to unite the members while working together for their common goals. Each fraternity/sorority on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University holds membership in the council and elects delegates to represent their chapters at the weekly meetings throughout the school year, sharing information, discussing issues of concern and interest, and voting on policies and procedures. Six women are elected to serve on the Executive Board, and the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life works closely with them.
The CPC currently consists of four chapters: Alpha Gamma Delta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Sigma Kappa.
Interfraternity Council (IFC)
The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the local governing body for the chapters of members of the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC). The IFC is affiliated with the NIC, a national organization that works together for the advancement of fraternity life across the nation. Locally, the IFC works to promote the highest ideas of scholarship, leadership, service and fraternalism among its six member organizations. Each fraternity on campus holds membership and elects delegates to represent their chapters at the biweekly meetings throughout the school year. IFC consists of a six member elected executive council and a legislative body of fraternity representatives and works closely with the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life.
The local IFC currently consists of six chapters: Acacia, Phi Gamma Delta, Sigma Chi, Sigma Pi, Tau Kappa Epsilon, and Theta Chi.

Order of Omega
The Order of Omega is a national honor society with the purpose to recognize those students who have attained a high standard of leadership in inter-Greek activities, to encourage them to continue along this line, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment; to bring together the most representative fraternity and sorority members, and to create an organization which will help mold the sentiment of the institution on questions of local and intercollegiate affairs; and to bring together members of the faculty, alumni, and student members of the institution's fraternities and sororities on a basis of mutual interest, understanding, and cooperation.
Each semester applications for membership are available. To be eligible, a fraternity or sorority member must have attended IWU for one full academic year, be a junior or senior in classification, have a cumulative GPA above the all-Greek average and must be in good standing with the initiate’s fraternal organization. Gamma Sigma Alpha
Gamma Sigma Alpha is a national academic honor society for fraternity and sorority members, founded at the University of Southern California in 1989 to promote intellectual interaction between fraternity and sorority students and the academic community. The purpose of the society is to promote the advancement of education among fraternity and sorority members, to instill a greater spirit of cooperation among the fraternity and sorority community, and to encourage excellence in scholarship.
Students are eligible for membership based on grade point average (GPA) and active membership in a fraternity or sorority recognized by the university.
