Senior Class Gift

Class of 2009 Gift:  Scholarship for an IWU Student

The Class of 2009 has chosen as their class gift to honor the very spirit of higher education.  By establishing a class scholarship fund, the members of the class will make an IWU education more accessible for a fellow student.  A plaque identifying the recipient or recipients each year will hang in the Hansen Center and serve notice of the tradition of student philanthropy of which IWU is so proud.  Thank you, seniors, for paying it forward!

Gift Options

While $20.09 is the suggested gift amount, every gift will be warmly received.  The goal is to have every senior make a gift of some description.  In addition, this year each senior has the opportunity to leave his or her mark on IWU by sponsoring a brick that bears his or her name on the Welcome Center walkway.  A limited number of bricks are available, and they are first come, first serve.  While alumni must give $250 or more to be recognized with a brick, seniors give $100, payable in installments. 

Acknowledgement and Recognition

Each senior donor, regardless of the amount of their gift, will have the opportunity to honor one faculty member, staff member, or coach who influenced their IWU experience.  The Development Office will send a certificate in the donor's name to his or her honoree.  Additionally, donors will have the chance to film a quick "thank you" to parents, professors, etc. for helping them throughout their academic career at Illinois Wesleyan.  These thank you videos will be filmed at Cap & Gown Pick-Up in the Hansen Center on April 7-8 and will be on display prior to the Commencement ceremony in May.
