The 2011 Project

2011 Project logoMission

The 2011 Project is a broad effort by members of the Class of 2011 to advance the ideals of school spirit, tradition, history, and philanthropy, and to promote these ideals to all members of the Illinois Wesleyan community.

The project is spearheaded by a select group of 12 students, but its purpose is campus-wide, and its audience includes students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Goals

The 2011 Project has multiple goals, including:

  • highlighting current student and faculty successes
  • motivating the campus community to participate in IWU-related activities in even greater numbers
  • increasing interaction between different IWU constituents
  • increasing the number of, and enhancing the significance of, IWU traditions
  • informing the campus community about significant events in the life of the University
  • educating students about the costs of higher education
  • creating an awareness among students of the role of alumni

The 2011 Class Gift

The class gift program is a longstanding tradition at Illinois Wesleyan.  For many years, the senior class has shown their appreciation for their time on campus by leaving a gift for their fellow undergraduates, as well as for future Titans.  The Class of 2011 is now enhancing this tradition by initiating the first-ever four-year class gift.  Learn More.
