Ph.D. in Germanic Studies from the University of Minnesota and an M.A. in Modern European History from UCLA. She recently received a summer research grant from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Besides courses in language, literature, and culture in German, she teaches courses for Women's Studies, International Studies, and IWU's General Education program in English: LC 116 "German Postwar Cinema" (Art, G), LC 272 "From Utopia to Science Fiction: Imagining the Future in Russia and Germany" (IT, G), and LC 274 "The Superwomen of Central European Fiction and Film" (CHC, G).
