First Year Academic Advising at IWU

At Illinois Wesleyan University, we have developed an academic advising program that takes into consideration the changing academic needs of students during their college years.

In order to facilitate a successful transition from high school to university life, the first year student will work together with a qualified first year faculty advisor.

The central purpose of a faculty advisor is to assist the student in academic planning and to offer advice concerning academic decisions a student must make throughout his or her undergraduate career.
