Robert Leekley is Associate Professor and Chair of the Economics Department.  His research is in the general area of micro public policy. He is also writing an applied statistics textbook.  His course in the Environmental Studies program, Environmental and Natural Resource Economics (ENST/ECON 340), examines the microeconomic causes of environmental degradation, as well as the efficiency and sustainability of renewable and non-renewable resource use in a market economy. Sources of market (and policy) failure are identified, and the available policy responses are evaluated.
