William Jaeckle,
Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Biology
Education
B.A. - Humboldt State University
Dr. William Jaeckle's research projects are focused on aspects of the life history, development, physiology, and ecology of invertebrate animals, with particular emphasis on the free-living developmental stages called larvae. In his laboratory, undergraduate research students have assisted Professor Jaeckle with ongoing projects on (1) the process of asexual reproduction by larvae of starfish, (2) the patterns and processes of nutrient distribution in "avascular" animals, (3) the evolution of egg size and composition among animals, and (4) the energetic cost of development of a freshwater snail. |
