Bobbie Silk, M.S.

Adjunct Instructor of English


Bobbie Silk holds degrees from Oklahoma State University and Illinois State University, with further graduate work at the University of Illinois.  In addition to teaching literature and writing, she has directed learning and writing centers at Clarke College, Illinois State University, and Illinois Wesleyan University, where her writing center work began sixteen years ago.  She is editor of the Writing Center Resource Manual and a past executive board member and grants committee chair for the International Writing Centers Association.  Her scholarly interests include play structure, philosophy in drama, and the theory, pedagogy, and psychology of writing.  She is executive director of the Illinois Theatre Consortium, a not-for-profit organization that provides management services for Illinois Voices, New Route, and Seedling Theatres in Central Illinois.
