Illinois Wesleyan University's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, Alpha Eta Pi, was founded in 1998. To become a member of the Alpha Eta Pi chapter, you must be an English major or minor, have a 3.60 GPA in English, be in the top 35% of your class, and have successfully completed ENGL 280, Practical Criticism.

    IWU’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta runs the annual MUSE literary conference, organizes philanthropy projects, holds colloquia about student and faculty projects, and arranges book club discussions, among other projects.
