ML 101 Beginning Chinese I

      An introduction to Chinese language and culture. The courses will emphasize the skills of listening, speaking, and reading, and introduce students to writing. Primary emphasis is placed on oral communication skills and on functioning in real-life situations in an appropriate cultural context. Offered in the fall semester only.

ML 102 Beginning Chinese II

      This course continues the proficiency-oriented approach of the beginning Chinese sequence.  It is designed to strengthen the four basis language skills, as appropriate to the language. Prerequisite: ML 102 Beginning Chinese II. Offered in the fall semester only.
