Ilinois Small College Placement Association (ISCPA), is a dynamic and respected consortium of 25 colleges and universities, it is best-known for its premier job fairs: CareerFest and TeacherFest; the free On-line Career Center; a collaborative interviewing program such as Fall Interview Day; and promoting high-quality career services designed for students and employers.

LinkedIn is one of the leading professional networking sites with over 43 million users and spanning 170 industries.  LinkedIn users can connect and stay connected with people who they know and trust in business- including alumni from the same university.

Internships.com is a large internship database with over 13,000 listings; the Career Center subscribes to this service for students to utilize in their internship search.

Going Global Career and Employment Resources include: world-wide job openings, internship listings, industry profiles and country-specific career information. More than 30,000 pages of constantly-updated content is included on topics such as: work permit/visa regulations, resume writing guidelines and examples, employment trends, salary ranges, networking groups, cultural/interviewing advice, corporate profiles and worldwide job listings... plus much more!

Glassdoor.com provides great information about company salaries, reviews and interview questions for thousands of companies.

InternMatch is one of the largest free internship listing sites and focuses on positions with startup companies, non-profits, difficult to find opportunities, and internship resources.

JobWeb is a career searching site, that also includes what was previously "CareerPlanit", the web site devoted to helping college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors explore out-of-this-world careers and learn about employers who offer internship, cooperative education, and other experiential education opportunities.

CareerSearch is a database that allows individuals to search for employers by industry, location, and keyword. You must be on an IWU campus computer to access this site.

Bridge is an online database created to connect music majors with careers in education, performance and music-industry based positions. NOTE: you must contact the Career Center via e-mail or phone to receive the IWU student User ID and Password.

Indeed, a free, comprehensive search engine for jobs. In one search, Indeed gives students instant access to millions of jobs and internships from sources such as Monster, HotJobs, CareerBuilder, the New York Times and Fortune 500 corporate websites. It also draws from thousands of other sources, including small industry-specific job boards, local newspapers and associations.

Focus2 is a system designed to assist in career search preparation.  From a variety of self assessments, career readiness assessments, and samples of jobs, Focus is one of the foremost self-use tools for young professionals seeking direction for their career.

ExploreHealthCareers.org gives students a reliable, and comprehensive source of accurate, up-to-date information about the health professions. This includes information on and links to health-related education/training programs, financial aid resources, specialized learning opportunities, and current issues in health care.
