Prior to starting at Illinois Wesleyan University in September of 2008, Dan served in roles as the Acting Director and Associate Director of the Academic Advising Center at Northern Illinois University. He was responsible for providing developmental academic advising and support with the major selection process for undecided students and students in transition. Dan has significant experience working with new student orientation programs as assistant director of orientation at NIU and taught University Experience (UNIV 101) at Northern for 14 years. He is a member of the National Academic Advising Association, the Illinois Academic Advising Association, ACPA, and is the National President-Election for Mortar Board Senior Honor Society. Dan is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in higher education administration at Loyola University Chicago.

Rebecca joined the Academic Advising Center staff in December 2008. Prior to IWU, Rebecca worked in the Student Service and Referral Center at Illinois State University as a Graduate Assistant. In that role, she provided university students and their families as well as faculty and staff with general registration assistance and information regarding academic records in accordance with FERPA laws. She also served in the United States Marine Corps and has worked with veterans to provide Veteran Education Benefit information, and Disability Compensation and Pension benefit counseling. Rebecca is also currently a full time graduate student in the College Student Personnel Administration program at Illinois State University.
