About IWU
Ikenna Odinaka '08 is one of 108 Academic All-Americans in the history of Illinois Wesleyan athletics, and the first representing men's soccer. Odinaka has been inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa honorary academic societies.
Your hometown? Amaruru, Orsu Local Government, Imo State, Nigeria.
Why Wesleyan? I guess I got lucky. The agency that took care of my admission into U.S colleges told me about Illinois Wesleyan, and so I applied to IWU and about 4 other schools. Illinois Wesleyan showed such an interest in me, when it came time to select a college, the choice was obvious.
Your major? Physics and mathematics double major, computer science minor
Favorite professor or favorite class? Tian-Xiao He (mathematics), Analysis, and Peg Sauder (nursing), Human Sexuality
After Wesleyan? Graduate school in electrical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis.
Biggest thrill? Scoring two goals within 17 seconds playing soccer against Wheaton College.
For fun? Playing soccer, pool, and ping-pong, hanging out with friends, watching movies and TV shows, talking to Yara, my girlfriend. 
The best? Virgin Mary, Jesus Christ, my parents
Favorite book? The Bible, True Devotion to Mary, Kane and Abel
Favorite band? Westlife
Favorite movie? Princess Bride
Favorite quote? "Preach the Gospel always and if necessary use words." Saint Francis of Assisi.

Odinaka is a member of the Titan Catholic Board, African Students Association, and the Society of Physics Students, and serves as a tutor on campus in mathematics, physics, and computer science.
