Kraig Ladd '10 is a starting quarterback for the Titan football team and a first baseman for the baseball team.
Your hometown? Shelbyville, Ill. – It’s a nice, small town of 5,000 people.  We just added a Wal-Mart and a 5th stoplight.
Why Wesleyan? Academically it’s a great school that gives its students the chance to succeed.

Also, it gave me the opportunity to continue playing football and baseball at the collegiate level.

Your major? Finance. The stock market fascinates me, and I really enjoy math and working with numbers.
Favorite professor or class? Financial Management with Professor Jin Park.

Professor Park really furthered my interest in finance.  He is one of the most helpful professors I’ve ever had.

After Wesleyan?  As much as I enjoy college, I’m really looking forward to taking on the new challenges of the real world.

I would like to pursue a career in investment banking or financial planning.

Biggest thrill?  Being a part of 3 CCIW Conference Championship teams with the Titans (2 in baseball and 1 in football).

Also, all of the memories and friendships I’ve developed as a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

For fun?  Playing pickup basketball games at Shirk and hanging out with friends.  I’m the typical college kid.  I love to just relax.
The best?  My mom’s mostaccioli.
Favorite book? Brian’s Song by William Blinn.

It’s a phenomenal story about the Chicago Bears’ Brian Piccolo and Gale Sayers.

Favorite band or artist?  I’m a big classic rock guy.  I’m a big fan of ACDC and Guns and Roses.

However, the Shelbyville in me loves country.  I’m a big fan of Garth Brooks.

Favorite movie?  Forrest Gump – “Lt. Dan, ICE CREAM!”
Favorite quote? “Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”  — Harold R. McAlindon.
