Voices of Nonviolence from King to Prejean

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – All are welcome for a gathering of song and reflection lifting up the spiritual discipline of non-violence, on Wednesday Feb. 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the Evelyn Chapel (1301 N. Park St., Bloomington). 

Excerpts from the writings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Pulitzer Prize-nominated author and activist Sister Helen Prejean will be offered, in addition to film clips from Just Vision, an Israeli-Palestinian organization dedicated to nonviolence.  The Evelyn Ensemble and Professor of Music Carren Moham will also perform.
