Adam Palmer scattered three hits and struck out eight as IWU won their season opener.  Ryan Gilfillan had two hits and drove in four.  Jeremy Hunt and Nate Kren had three hits apiece and Justin Cripe batted in three runs on two hits.

March 10
Greenville 4, Illinois Wesleyan 3

IWU jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st, but Greenville scored once in the first and three in the fifth to defeat the Titans 4-3.  Steve Brook allowed four runs over five innings as IWU fell to 1-1 on teh season.  Ryan Gilfillan and Haneef Omar had two hits apiece.

March 10
Illinois Wesleyan 8, Benedictine 8

IWU scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to move the game into extra innings where it was ended in an 8-8 tie.  Ryan Gilfillan, Steve Schilsky, and Kevin Morris drove in two runs apiece and Gilfillan and Chad Rock had two hits each as IWU moved to 1-1-1.
