Introducing Illinois Wesleyan President Richard F. Wilson

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (April 6, 2004) — Illinois Wesleyan University today elected Richard F. Wilson as its 18th President.

The announcement by Craig Hart, president of the University's Board of Trustees was made at a community-wide event in the Hansen Student Center where President-elect Wilson and his wife, Pat, were greeted by students, faculty, staff, trustees, and alumni.

Wilson, 57, will take office on July 1, 2004. He succeeds Minor Myers jr., who died in July 2003.
